We are grateful that you chose us to make your garment. Please carefully read the following to fully understand our terms, processes and policies to assist us with achieving a seamless experience for desired results. By reading these terms and moving forward with your order, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to anything listed below please bring it to our attention before moving forward with your order.
APPOINTMENT BOOKING
Please let us know your preferred date and time for your appointment. A non-refundable consultation fee of 300gh cedis will be paid on your first appointment with us. This amount goes as a deposit towards your final bill.
PRODUCTION TIMELINES
◾ We require a period of 3-4 weeks minimum for simple garments.
◾ 6-8 weeks is needed for non-bridal kente to be able to execute a beautifully finished product.
Please note that timelines begin from the date we receive both fabrics and measurements from the client. If for any reason the gown is needed before the stated durations, express charges will be applied depending on the timeframe given us.
DESIGN PROCESS
Clients are encouraged to send inspirational photos, full descriptions, and requirements to help with the design process. However, clients should please note that the SBB team will not copy designs made by other fellow designers.
CLIENTS ABROAD
The Design process mentioned above will be maintained. Please note that apart from the frequent interruptions due to poor network, chats via WhatsApp are preferred to calls for record purposes and the possibility of easy reference
1. We will require your full name, event date, expected pick-up date, and full payment of the consultation fee.
2. A measurement guide will be sent after consultation. For best results, we ask that you seek the services of a professional for measurement taking as the garment will be made based on the measurements sent.
Please don’t forget to wear appropriate heels for the best results. Clients are also encouraged to send full-body shots of themselves.
◾ In the event that you will not be fitting with us, a professional would be needed for garment tweaking or alterations. Our clients are entitled to free alterations with us however SBB will not be responsible for the cost or results of alterations done by a third party.
◾ Full body shots and videos of the client in the outfit with a detailed description of what needs rectification will be required for alterations.
◾ If at any point after the initial consultation client still needs further clarification, please feel free to draw our attention to it and a call will be arranged.
MEASUREMENT TAKING AND FITTINGS
◾ Measurements will be taken at The SHEdoll Emporium either on consultation day or whichever date agreed on by the client.
◾ Fitting with us at the Emporium is imperative to ensure the best results. Clients should be available for at least 1-2 fittings for non bridal wear. However, in the event that fitting with us isn’t possible or garment(s) cannot be sent back to us for rectification, clients should please note that SBB will not be responsible for costs or results of alterations done by a third party.
◾ We are happy to work with our cherished SHEdolls till you are fully satisfied with the results.
We would appreciate it if clients notify us early enough of any concerns or required changes especially before beadwork is commenced on the garment. Concerns expressed after final fittings may not be possible to achieve within certain timeframes and may attract extra fees.
After specified pick up date, clients have 1 month to bring dress back for minor alterations as reducing dress train length or sleeve length after which any needed alterations will come at a charge.
Requirements for SHEdoll measurement taking and fittings are as follows:
◾ Please bring along shoes with similar height of the ones you will be wearing for your event to help with accuracy of dress length (a short or hanging gown isn’t aesthetically pleasing)
◾ Please bring along any supportive undergarments or body shapers you plan on wearing on the event day.
◾ Kindly wear underwear for both measurement taking and fittings.
PAYMENT
A 30% deposit for clients on Ghana and 50% for clients abroad of total cost is required for purchase of needed materials before work on your garment is commenced. Full balance will be required before garment can be picked up. Please note that if you are paying by cheque, garment can only be picked up after cheque has been cleared.
Payment plans are available but must be discussed during initial stages and not at the final stages of the transaction. Payment can be made either by cash, cheque, bank deposit or mobile money transfer.
DELIVERY AND PICK UP
SBB will not be responsible for delivery or pick up fees of fabrics or clothes before or after the garments have been made. Garments can be picked up from The SHEdoll Emporium after final fittings and payments. Please note that the garments will not be released if the total bill has not been settled. We can have garments delivered by a courier service at your cost. Shipping and handling services are available for clients outside Accra and abroad also at client’s cost.
UNCLAIMED FABRICS AND GARMENTS
We would like our cherished clients to know that due to limited storage space at the Emporium, clients have a period of 4 months from agreed pick up dates to claim their garments, leftover or unused fabrics. SBB will not accept responsibility for missing or damaged clothing or fabrics that have been left with us for over 6 months. If for any reason such as travel plans, illness etc the items cannot be picked up clients should kindly notify us.
PHOTOS AND SOCIAL MEDIA
We love to post photos of our SHEdolls in our beautifully made garments. Our social media team takes pride in selecting the best photos to showcase our work. Please note that SBB reserves the right of selection (according to our timelines) regarding the photos that are posted on our pages. We also reserve the right to post the finished product of our work on mannequins after the event date clients provided us with. Low-quality and pixelated images will not be posted, unfortunately. We would appreciate it if clients send clear, vibrant, and sharp professional images to us via shebybena@gmail.com Please add the bride’s Instagram handle together with that of the photographer and makeup artist.
